If you are a new or returning (not active in the fall of 2011) board member, head coach, assistant coach or active volunteer, please make sure to click on the link above in order to do your annual background check (make sure you check mark the coach/admin registration box).  Background check is a requirement from OYSA.  If you coached for us in the fall of 2011 you do NOT need to do this until next season.

If you are registering a player only, put a check mark in the player registration box.

       Register in person at the Newport Intermediate (Middle) School 

o   March 9^th, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

     o   March 10^th, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

   o   March 16^th, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

   o   March 17^th, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Register by mail. Registration Forms can be found at your local school or the Newport Recreation Center

Deadline for registration to be received is March 17^th, 2012

You can bring your registration form completely filled out and signed, together with payment to the Newport Recreation Center, located at 225 SE Avery St., Newport OR or you can mail your form and payment to: CCSA P.O. Box 522 Newport OR 97365.

What is a division and in which one will I play?

CCSA organizes divisions by age groups.  This means that the other players on your team and the ones on the teams that you play against will be close to your age.  This doesn't mean you'll all be the same height, or the same weight, or all run the same speed, or kick as hard.  Even kids that are the same age are all different.   But you'll learn that soccer is a team sport where every player has something to contribute.  

US Youth Soccer Federation has set the cut off date for the different age groups to be July 31. Yes, that is one month sooner than the cut off date for Oregon schools.

Newport Players:

If you are signing up a child for a U10, U12 or U14 division to play with a Newport team, please note that a player assessment will be held at the Newport community soccer field, located next to the Isaac Newton Magnet School (Intermediate School). You MUST bring in your child to the assessment before you can register.  Player is required to participate in either of the two assessments prior to registration.

WHEN: August 27th or September 10th

TIME: 12:00 am to 2:00 pm (Sat.)

GEAR REQUIRED: soccer shoes, socks, shinguards 

Registrations will be accepted after assessment is completed on-site.

If you are signing up a player for a U6 and U8 division to play with a Newport team, no player assessment is required and you may proceed to register directly.

Non-Newport Players:

All players registering to play with a non-Newport team, from divisions U6, U8m, U10, U12 and U14 do not need to participate in the player assessment.  You may proceed to register directly.
